A paid leaderboard for the e-commerce world, with a second board that money alone can't win.
The idea
Brands, Shopify apps, agencies and suppliers pay to sit on a public ranking and pull traffic from it. That part is not new.
The twist is that there are two boards. The Shelf ranks by what you paid — the biggest wallet wins. The Steal ranks by cost per click — the sharpest wins.
The Steal is the point. It turns every advertiser into a promoter: the more traffic you send to your own card, the lower your cost per click, the higher you climb. Somebody who paid $3 can beat somebody who paid $2,000. You cannot buy your way to the top of it.
How the ranking works
Rank is never stored. Only the amount paid is. Position is computed at read time, which means two simultaneous payments can never fight over a slot — the money buys the rank it buys.
Clicks are counted server-side and deduplicated per visitor per day, so a cost per click means something. Raw IP addresses are never stored, only a salted hash.
